. . .and Now, Back to This One
Si.com Recently ranked Vin Scully #2 Sportscaster of all-time (behind Jim McKay).
Always awesome to hear anything Vin-related.
SI.com’s Top 20 All-Time Sportscasters: #2 Vin Scully
At 61 seasons, Scully has the longest tenure of any broadcaster with one professional sports team, and he’s still going strong. He has been known as “the Voice of the Dodgers” since 1950, when the team was still in Brooklyn. The 82-year-old play-by-play man and his familiar voice may be nearing a final season.
The Dodgers game can be 11-2 and Vinny still makes it enjoyable to watch and listen. He is GREAT!!!
SI put Marv Albert ahead of Chick Hearn? Are you effing kidding me? Marv Albert doesn’t know the meaning of the words ‘play by play’. The guy tells stories and trades insults with his color commentators right in the middle of the most exciting NBA plays. What a joke.
Vinny rules.
Chicky is the king.
SI blows.
sorry to tell you, Vin should be #1 on ANY list of sportscasters.
