Again – Lebron Sucks

Actual quote from everybody’s-hero-yet-owner-of-zero-rings Lebron James, after last night’s debacle:

“I spoil a lot of people with my play. When you have three bad games in seven years, it’s easy to point them out.”

Also note that James proclaimed July 1, 2010, as the biggest day in the history of basketball, ramping up suspense of his ultimate decision: Do I stay or do I go?

Are you serious, Lebron?

Look – everybody knows that in overall physical talent & ability, you really are the greatest player to walk the court. The difference – and why YKI will continue to harangue you – is that you’d rather be a billionaire, a ‘Brand,’ a ‘Global Empire’, rather than win rings.

You keep the entire basketball world hanging on your decision of whether forsaking your childhood home, your friends that love you and your foundational support base is a good idea, as opposed to conquering Madison Avenue or South Beach.

In short, Lebron – Grow Up. You really do have the world at your fingertips, now own up to it and start acting like a Man.

Someone had to say it! I’m with ya YKI, word for word with one extra comment – He should get the hell out of Cleveland regardless of getting a title or not -> won’t get to a BiLLiOn staying there…

The Clippers are the perfect team for him. Every piece is in place. All they need is a super star, commited owner, new name, logo and team colors. But seriously. The LA market would split in half if LeBron came here. But he so going to the Knicks. The NBA is not as good when the Knicks suck. I’m dreaming here but Utah would be a perfect team for him also with the pieces in place. But we will never never ever ever ever get a superstar to come to Utah. Lakers would though. Booooooo!

    • LeBron the overrated guy

LeBron is a great player, I admit it. But he’s WAAAAY OVERRATED. The media put every hype on him, but the fact is that HE NEVER won the championship with Cavaliers. I prefer Anthony/Wade all the way.

P.S: He’s even very good at bullshitting, remember how he “PRELIMINARY PUT HIS NAME” on 2009 for the 2010 Dunk Contest then year later ruled out his presence? I can’t understand that, at all…

With one exception, he just couldnt handle the pressure of being the big man on campus. Have fun sucking on wades cock lbj

I don’t think it’s accurate to claim that LeBron would rather be a brand than win rings. Fact is he’s a competitor at the absolute highest level and nobody gets that good at anything by being okay with losing. Implying that he cares more about image/brand success than winning is a lazy and tired media cliche and frankly I’m surprised YKI is taking the low road here.

The media and fans crowned him King before he even set foot on the court as a pro. Now you want to hang him for not conforming to your idea of what a superstar should be. What were you doing at 24 years old? I don’t know but I’m sure there wasn’t anywhere near as much at stake (and not just in terms of money) for you as there is for him.

As far as leaving your childhood home, friends, and foundational support base goes – that’s pretty much the definition of “growing up.” Fact: all true American greatness goes through New York.

Enjoy rubbing his lack of rings in his face while you can because it’s not going to last long.

Hey Kobayashi – the ‘low road’ is not accurate. In fact, the coronation of Lebro qua Jesus Christ was the media’s fault; I am not haranguing him for that. What I AM haranguing him for – as opposed to Kobe – is his consistent efforts at branding himself, striking friendships with Warren Buffet, overtures to Donald Trump, powows with Jay-Z and Puffy, and most offensively, turning his back on his HOMETOWN and his support base. In my mind, that is the biggest indication of what kind of ‘person’ – or as you say, competitor – that we’re dealing with. True warriors are in the gym minutes after losses or wins – Lebron is in boardrooms and business meetings. Big difference. Until he gets a ring – or even shows that he cares about that – I will continue this path, which in fact is NOT the low road, it’s the objective road. Again, he is an immense talent there is NO question about that, but until he stops dancing on the court, throwing chalk in the air, joking around during blowouts. . . I can’t take him seriously as I can, say, KOBE BRYANT. Do some homework and get back to me about who really is reaching their potential; and that’s the scary thing; Lebron SHOULD average a triple-double and he doesn’t; why? Because he cares about Lebron the Brand not Lebron the Champion.

Cmon Ev, your better than this. Basketball is a team game, LBJ took his team farther than anyone else could.

This is how Kobe went out of the playoffs in those years he didn’t have Shaq or Pau.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200605060PHO.html – the game where Kobe didn’t even shoot in the 2nd half

http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200406150DET.html – nice 7-21 clunker by Kobe. Nice all around game too… not…. See More

        http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200705020PHO.html – nice 13-33. One assist. Stellar.

I think Lebron is going to leave Cleveland, nothing wrong with that, most of us have left our hometowns to pursue our careers or education and most never even returned. The world is a harsh place, sometimes you need to be a little selfish or you’ll be taken advantage of. Whether he comes to LA, Chicago or NY you know that team will contend for championships.

It’s unreal, the guy gets a triple double in a losing effort and everyone is putting all the blame on him. Where was Jamison? Or Mo Williams in the 2nd half? You swap Kobe out for Lebron and the Kobe-Cavs wouldn’t make it out of the 1st round (they would be a lower seed, not a 1 seed).

“Look – everybody knows that in overall physical talent & ability, you really are the greatest player to walk the court. ”

Everybody assumes but its not true, Dwight Howard is more powerful and stronger, Dwayne Wade is quicker and faster, Vince Carter dunks better in his prime, Shannon Brown and Nate Robinson jumps higher, LeBrick himself calls him a “freak of nature” and Michael Jordan dominates the game like no other (sorry Kobe, MJ still owns both of you)

LeBron seems to look like “the chosen one” “the King” and “the basketball man” because of the HYPE that surrounds him, Even before stepping in the NBA, some very powerful goons and conspirators have conspired to build up the next Jordan, a superstar that in turn would generate Huge amounts of Money and at the same time be idolized by the masses, and they Succeeded so well!….Now a lot of kids are drooling over “the King”, may i say a King without a crown!……

also blame it on LeBron, he acts like a cocky jerk, always wearing “Hey Look at me, I’m the best” attitude. Its ok to be confident but please WIN a crown first! He is more interested in money, adoration and fame rather than playing to prove yourself worhty, instead he is content in being a virtual best, a “Best” without a proof but Hype, if you only heard and read some of his statements about himself You will surely be pissed off………… “I’m the greatest thing that ever happen in basketball”….SHut Up YoU Jerk!

  6. Kobayashi Advocate

Yo, YKI. Your response to my boy Kobayashi seems out of place. I find it hilarious that you title your commentary as “objective.” I also find it funny that you quote Kobe Bryant as a pinnacle to compare to, this coming after your own lambasting of the Lakers in the midst of their Oklahoma City series. You seem to change your mind with the wind. I wish you would stick to your guns and actually committ to something.
You seem like a guy that would disagree with someone just to do it, whether there is merit or not in what they say.

    • yallkiltit

KA – well done. I’m not necessarily a contrarian (disagree with someone just to do it), and if you read my Kobe/Laker-bashing, it’s more about the Lakers fans (fake, fake L.A. nutballs that sleep through games and ‘celebrate like crazy’ when they win), and Kobe – for the first time – being worn down physically enough that it may have been affecting his game. We all know – objectively – that without Kobe, there is no Lakers (title), and that’s how it looked against OKC. That said, Kobe is once again proving hes superhuman and thusly will probably lead the team to the title. And yes, KA, Kobe IS the pinnacle of single-minded, cold-blooded focus on WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS, and that’s all I’m asking Lebron to aspire to. . .if he really does want to be the best (as these yukmouth journalists are prone to label him). Good comment though and thank you.

Man whoever brought up the stats of Kobe failing vs the suns in 06 and 07, they need to go beyond the stats and look at the lineup.

    PG: Smush
    SG: Kobe
    SF: Luke Walton
    PF: Lamar Odom
    C: Kwam-ayyy Brown

(with the exception of Odom) I wanna see the King make allstars out of these guys. Take a look at Lebron’s lineup and you tell me with a straight face who has more help??

Physical gifts will only get LeBron so far. If he had actually gone to college and had to face a team that knew how to execute a zone defense, he would have been SOL. LeBron’s advantage is going to the hoop. He has strength, quickness and leaping ability that make it difficult for defenders. When LeBron reaches 31, 34 or 37 (Grant Hill), he (LBJ) will be a has been. His jump shot is inconsistent but more importantly, his jump shot is inconsistent when he relies on it. Turn LeBron into a shooter and he gets knocked off his game. Let him fly around the court and he has his way with defenders. If LeBron could control the pace of the game, tell everyone else on the court where they should be and really take the reigns of that offense, they would be difficult to stop. But they don’t. Some people like to cry about the coach. But that same coach made them the team with the most wins in the regular season for the past two years. Their game plan hasn’t changed in the past couple years, just the players. The result is the same not because of the coaching, the surrounding cast, an elbow or any other excuses people conveniently make for him. The result is the same because LeBron is turned into a bystander and disappears aka DOESN’T STEP UP. Being turned into a bystander is not a sign of a “King” or even ‘the best ever”. So nobody should ever say a player is the best ever to play a game because they have athletic abilities. Skills and execution of the game show how good a player is and so far, he isn’t proving he is the best.
